The Animal Rescue Site

Who likes to watch funny cat videos online?

I do! J

I mean, who doesn’t? There are cats running in circles, bouncing off of things, pouncing on things, falling off of tables and out of windows…the list just goes on and on! I could be amused for many, many hours, but unfortunately I don’t have that kind of time to devote to my funny cat video watching as I might like.

The nice thing about having 3 cats is that I don’t need to sit in front of my computer to be entertained though.

The youngest cat, Miley (not because of the singer – she has 2 white spots and a smile on her stomach that looks like a smiley face), is about 2 now and she is still out of her head nuts.

Of course there is the fact that she likes boxes, bags, and pretty much anything that she can hide in.
Now that it is winter time she seems to get cold, so she will sit on top of the register vents, but she also really doesn’t like the wind or air blowing on her. This seems to have posed a problem for her. One day she found a box on the floor that happened to be on top of one of the vents…problem solved! Now she has her very own heated box! Win – win for her!

She will super-charge run from one room to another, just to turn around and sprint back to where she came from.

She also talks to birds. No, I’m not kidding. She chirps at them. It is the funniest thing EVER.  And to add to it, when you ask her about what she is talking to she will look at the birds and sort of point at them while meowing at you.

Oh and I can’t forget about the fact that she works out with me. I mean she really gets on the elliptical with me and will take a few rounds with me. She tends to get worn out quickly so I then have to hold her. You try balancing on the elliptical while holding a cat.
But enough about crazy Miley, the other 2 are a little older and have both calmed down a lot. Chloe still swims in her water (not really, but she does play in her water every time she wants to drink) and leaves a trail of her paw prints to wherever she was going. And Libby still talks to me and drools everywhere whenever she is really happy.

Yes, the cat drools. Sadly all 3 of them do. I guess I just have some magic touch!

All 3 of them were rescues in their own way. I got Libby from the Human Society, Chloe came from the Community Angel Network, and Miley came from our driveway. She just showed up after we got home one night. That’s a story for another time though.

Then there is my Daisy dog – I got her from the Pet Adoption League. She was such a super cute puppy and is the best dog! She is a mix of Lab, Collie, Husky, and Shepherd – an interesting mix, but it seems to have worked out!
