Ethical Ocean

Happy Monday!

I have a mixed bag for you tonight!

There is kind of a lot going on.

I had a nice weekend – well with the exception of my hands now hurting from spending probably about 8 hours on Saturday knitting. It is going well. Well, after I got annoyed with the scarf that I had started on Friday, tore it apart on Saturday, and started over – that’s what happens when you give a type A personality a knitting project! HA! What can I say?

I discovered some holes that I wasn’t happy with and the situation needed fixed.  OH and I started into my 2nd ball? of yarn. That was interesting but seemed successful!

We went to dinner with our friends yesterday and got to see their wonderful baby girl. She’s so cute!

I was back at the chiropractor today. It was nice and I’m feeling better now. J We got to spend a lot of time laughing with him again. He said he’d like some publicity – so here’s my shout out to you Dr. John Capuano! (Now if he will only read Shop Good – Do Good like he keeps telling me he is going to!)

Tomorrow my boss will be in from New York with another one of our colleagues that is based in NY. Guess I’ll have to be on my best behavior this week. Boo for that! Lol

And speaking of work, one of my best work friends will be leaving for another opportunity in a few weeks. It makes me so sad, but I’m so super happy for her! Congratulations Sam!!!

In my ever-eventful world of catching up on TV I watched the latest episode of New Girl. Have you seen it? HYSTERICAL!!!! I liked the episode so much that I watched it twice in the same day. I was originally watching while I was working out on my elliptical and almost fell off laughing – seriously!! I guess that is one of the dangers to watching sitcoms when you are working out!

The place that I want to tell you about tonight is a bit of a mixed bag also. It is Ethical Ocean (

They offer all sorts of ethical items. Everything that they sell must fall under one of the following 3 categories:  “Good for People, Good for Animals or Good for the Environment”. They have products that fall under fashion (belts, clothing, shoes, accessories, etc.), Beauty & Health, products for kids and babies, electronics, home & garden, and food & drink items.  (

“Each of our product pages includes a story: explaining what the product does, where it comes from, and what the seller is doing to positively impact the globe. You’ll also see third-party certifications, if applicable.”

I would have to create another website to begin to show you all of the different items that they offer. And what better? They are all good in some way! I love it!!!

I will show you a few items that caught my eye:

I can’t help but adore these mugs! They are the cutest things!

“It’s up to each of us to know what we are buying and why—and how each product we spend our dollars on impacts other people, animals, and the environment.
But that doesn’t mean we have to know everything. We can share our knowledge, and ideas, to help one another choose wisely. That’s what Ethical Ocean is all about.”

“‘Ethics’ can be subjective. Even personal.
At Ethical Ocean, we believe that all decisions leading to a more sustainable, equitable lifestyle are ethical ones, regardless of where your values begin and end.”

If you are looking for something special for that special someone for Valentine’s Day stop by Ethical Ocean to check out all of their wonderful products. Have a great week!
