Guayaki

Happy Friday!!!

Ready for another rendition of the weekly wrap-up and to see what I’m loving this week?

Well, here it goes!

1) Revenge
Not that kind! The TV show silly!
I’m absolutely loving it and can’t get enough but they keep showing it almost every other week.
I’m finding that very frustrating!

2) Our fish sandwich dinners from tonight!
Yes there is fish under that stuff – that would be the Pittsburgh-style fish sandwich – complete with coleslaw, fries, and cheese.
That was the hubby’s first attempt at a fish sandwich…I guess that’s one way to ease your way into it!
Love you sweetie! J
(And Pittsburgh wonders why we have such great health systems here. There are lots of people for the doctors to practice on after eating things like that!)

3) Work-from-home days
Unfortunately my boss doesn’t see the value in it so we don’t get that opportunity very often.
Oh well, I guess we will take what we can get.

4) Better than work-from-home-days – HOLIDAYS!
Thank goodness for dead Presidents! J

5) This shirt –
So much so it made its second appearance in less than one week.
It is super comfy - I can't help it!

6) Getting to see friends tomorrow and their baby girl. I’m pretty excited!

7) Guayaki Yerba Mate drinks - http://guayaki.com/
I just tried the Pure Heart this week and it is pretty good!

I had no idea what to expect – it is pretty mild and a bottle has the same amount of caffeine as a cup of coffee.

As for Guayaki as a company – they really are doing everything that Shop Good – Do Good stands for and probably even then some.
I personally, had a hard time imagining everything that one company can do and companies like this continue to impress me.

“Our mission is to steward and restore 200,000 acres of South American Atlantic rainforest and create over 1,000 living wage jobs by 2020 by leveraging our Market-Drive-Restoration business model.”
http://guayaki.com/about/131/Market-Driven-Restoration.html - This link explains what their business model is and how they are working to re-forest the South American Atlantic rainforests.
Guayaki has an impressive line of various products:

I would say that they have you pretty well covered for anything you might be looking for in a beverage!

Here are some of the highlights of their sustainability model:

·         “Guayak√≠ is the only mate company in the world that is both certified organic and certified Fair Trade.”
·         Certified Organic
·         Certified Fair Trade
·         “Our packaging materials and paper supplies
Our packaging material is a minimum of 100% recycled corrugated cardboard with 30% post consumer, although most are 100% post-consumer waste.”
·         Biodegradable Packing
·         Chemical Free Facility
·         Recycling Programs
·         Company Cargo Vehicles Powered by Bio-diesel
·         Energy Usage
“Guayak√≠ is proud to have converted its entire operation to 100% renewable energy by transferring all of its conventional electrical power usage to renewable solar energy.”

Please see http://guayaki.com/about/2231/Sustainability.html to get more information about this – the information really is very impressive!

In case you aren’t already sold on Guayaki there is also a page about the health benefits of yerba mate. http://guayaki.com/mate/2931/Health-Benefits.html
It contains vitamins, minerals, caffeine, and other nutrients; and it is better for you than green tea.
Just something to think about!

And on that note – I’m going to let you go so you can check out more about Guayaki and order some from online or to let you get to your local grocery store to pick some up. If you need your daily caffeine fix, this might just be something that you would want to add to your beverage choices!

Have a great weekend!
