Tonight I’m going to mix it up a little.
It’s been a really long week and I will admit it’s very late right now. I just worked 24 hours in 2 days. Good times!
What I’m going to do tonight is for-go telling you about a company or product and tell you a little more about my process with the blog.
I’m not sure if you are interested, but I’m that kind of person...I like to know how things work.
And really – if you ever have any questions, please send me a message, leave a comment, whatever…I’m looking forward to talking to you!
(Here's a few random pictures of me - just so you can feel like you know me a little better!)
First off I look for companies and products online that look interesting, things you might like, places that do good. This can be a quick process or some days it can take a while. I also get suggestions from my friends – and I’m more than happy to take suggestions from you too.
After I find that I like the company, I email them to make sure that they don’t mind that I feature them.
I have gotten wonderful responses from most companies (and I only say most because there are a few that don’t respond). I’m pretty sure it’s because they think that I’m asking for free products, but that isn’t the case.
I will do a review on a product if I receive them, but I include a message in my emails to the companies explaining that I’m not looking for free products but that I am happy to review if they would like me to.
98% of the companies/products/stores that I have featured have responded to me. I can only think of 2, maybe 3, that I have done features on thus far that haven’t responded, but I have only used them because I was familiar with the product or place.
After I post the feature, I then email the company again to let them know that their feature is on the blog. And I typically add them to my Facebook too.
Pictures are usually taken from the companies’ sites, and if there is a picture that isn’t mine or directly from the company that I am featuring’s site – I will let you know where it came from.
So that’s pretty much how it works!
And please, if you have any questions or comments – just let me know. I’d love to hear from you!
