Out of Print

“Chin up, chin up / Everybody loves a happy face / Wear it, share it / It'll brighten up the darkest place / Twinkle, sparkle / Let a little sunshine in / You'll be on the right side, looking at the bright side / Up with your chinny-chin-chin.
 Charlotte from Charlotte’s Web

I’m feeling a little philosophical tonight. And that quote really made me smile – I think it’s one that I’m going to have to think of often. J

Gimbel's Manager: Why are you smiling like that?
Buddy: I just like to smile, smiling's my favorite
I must admit, I love that movie! I have to watch it at least once every Christmas.

Today was my friend Sam’s last day at work…well at work with me because she got a new job.
Goose: How about terrific, terrific, terrific?
Charlotte: Cut that down to one terrific and it will do nicely. I think terrific might impress Zuckerman.
Wilbur: But Charlotte, I'm not terrific.
Charlotte: You're terrific as far as I am concerned.

*Sam and Kelly*

Sam is one of those people who really are terrific. I really feel lucky to have had the opportunity to work with her and to get to know her. She’s going to do great things in her life.

It really makes me sad that she is moving on, but it also makes me think about the reasons that people come into our lives.

Our lives are really a story.

One that full of characters that come in and out of our lives for various reasons.

I think some people come into our lives to help us through difficult times, others to teach us something about ourselves, and various other reasons.

And sometimes they come into our life so that we can help or teach them something.

So here’s to a wonderful story, full of amazing characters, and hopefully a happily ever after!

Since we are talking about stories tonight I think it is a perfect reason to tell you about this company – Out of Print. http://outofprintclothing.com/

The company designs clothing (mostly shirts, but some accessories, stationary, and various other goodies) that “feature iconic and often out of print book covers. Some are classics, some are just curious enough to make great t-shirts, but all are striking works of art.”

           talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.”

I thought this quote was amusing and wanted to just throw that in!

“How we read is changing as we move further into the digital age. It’s unclear what the role of the book cover will be in this new era, but we feel it’s more important than ever to reflect on our own individual experiences with great literary art before it’s forever changed.

What’s your story?”

Out of Print items make great gifts for your friends and family who love to read. Keep them in mind!
